Yes! You can purchase products online. You will find a limited number of products available online. We are currently focusing on our Hockey category and will bring other sports online as their seasons approach. The products you purchase will be shipped from our designated fulfillment stores. All of our stores are independently owned and operated, which means the mix of products available is dependent on what each store has in stock. We will be expanding our selection with Baseball, Soccer and Lacrosse in 2018, followed by Fitness, Footwear and Apparel. By late 2018, we anticipate that all of our sports categories will be available for online purchase.
How do I find out more information more about an item I’m interested in?
Click or Tap the product to access the Product Details page. This page will provide a detailed description of the product.
How do I find a specific product I’m looking for?
There are several ways to find the product you are looking for on SourceForSports.com:
- Enter the Product Name, Brand, or SKU code in the search bar located along the top of the webpage
- Browse our various product categories by clicking the links found on each page
- Narrow or Refine your search results by using our search bar, sorting tools, and filters to better target your results
If you cannot find a desired product online, contact your local Source For Sports store for product availability and pricing. Just because you cannot find a specific product online does not mean it is not carried by your local store. Products found online are a representation of items carried by most stores who sell any given category.
Search using our Store Locator and navigate to your desired local store to find information on the sport categories and services they offer.
Are the colours of products on the website accurate?
Yes, the colours on the website are accurate. However, every computer monitor and digital device will display colours differently depending on your colour setting and monitor calibration.
My Cart is an online shopping cart you’ll use when purchasing items through our website during the checkout process. The inventory you see online belongs to our roster of fulfilment stores. Since our stores are independently owned and operated, there's a good chance your online purchase will come from a different location than your local store.
To add items to My Cart follow these steps:
- Make a selection for all of the sizing elements that are offered. Some products could have up to 4 size elements. They include things like size, colour, length, pattern, flex etc.
- If a size, colour, or other element cannot be selected, the item is either Out of Stock, or Not Available Online and cannot be purchased. You can try to select a different combination of elements to find a specific item within the model.
- Select the quantity you’d like to purchase using the buttons clicking the plus (+) or minus (-) signs, or by clicking/tapping the number and entering a desired quantity. A value of 1 or greater must be selected to add an item to your shopping cart.
- Click the Add to Cart button to place this item in My Cart.
- The availability of an item is indicated with various statuses indicating whether an item is In Stock, Out of Stock, Available Online, or Not Available Online.
With Source For Sports’ Reserve & Pick Up service, you can still get the products you want even if they’re not available for shipping online. All you need to do is reserve them at a participating store with stock through our website, and then visit that location to pay and pick up. That’s it!
How Do I Reserve A Product Online?
Once you find the product you’re looking for online, you’ll be able to see which Source For Sports stores across Canada have that item available in-store. Once you know where you want to purchase that product, go ahead and click or tap the “Reserve & Pick Up” button and select the closest or your favourite Source For Sports store where the product is available. Once you select your desired store, you’ll need to provide your information for the reservation. Keep in mind that this Reserve & Pick Up feature is only available at participating Source For Sports stores across Canada. Here’s a quick list of what to expect during the process:
STEP 1: Choose Your Product Options
After finding your desired product on our website, the Product Page will allow you to select your desired sizing and colour options to show which store has this unique combination in stock and available for purchase in-store. The “Find In Store” area will update showcasing where this specific size or colour is available.
You can only reserve one (1) product at a time because it’s possible that the store you’re reserving from may not not sell other products you’re looking for.
STEP 2: Proceed to Reserve & Pick Up
Click or tap the red “Reserve & Pick Up” button found under the “Add To Cart” button and beside the “Find In Store” area on a Product Page.
STEP 3: Select the Store You Want to Pick Up From
Here’s where you’ll have the option to pick up your product at one of our participating Source For Sports stores across Canada. Once you select a store, proceed to the next step by clicking or tapping “Continue”.
You’ll notice that some stores may be far away from your location. This just means that this store has your product in stock in Canada regardless of your location. If you’re in a pinch and really want this item, send them an email or give them a call. They’ll be happy to help!
STEP 4: Order Details
This section details your reservation, where to pick your item up, the store hours of operation for the next 2 days, and the ability to update or change the desired location for your reservation pick up.
STEP 5: Contact Information
Fill out the form with your name and contact information so that we can get a hold of you, and so that you receive notifications when your product is ready for pick up.
STEP 6: Reserve Now
Once you’re happy with your reservation, click or tap the “Reserve Now” button to place your official reservation.
What Happens After I Place My Reservation?
Once you’ve reserved the product you want, you’ll receive a confirmation email detailing all aspects of your reservation. The store you selected will be notified of your reservation and their team member will walk over to the product, pick it up, and place it on hold for you at their front checkout counter for your arrival. You’ll now receive an email letting you know that your desired product is ready for you to pick up. This email will detail everything you need to know, such as what you ordered, where to pick up your product, what you’ll pay in-store, and the store’s hours of operation. When you arrive at the Source For Sports store fulfilling your reservation, you must provide your Order Confirmation, Name, and present a Valid ID to confirm your order on file. Orders cannot be released to customers without these key pieces of information and identification.
How Long Does the Store Reserve My Product?
Make sure to pick up your reserved product within 48 hours from the receipt of your Ready For Pick Up confirmation email. Note that products held are removed from store availability, so if for some reason you can’t pick up your reservation within the next 2 days, please go ahead and cancel your reservation order so our team can place the product back on the shelf. You will have the option to cancel your reservation via our website or the emails we send to your provided email address. If you do not notify us of a cancellation, but do not visit your selected store within 48 hours, our team will proceed to place the product back on the shelf thus cancelling your reservation.
How Do I Pay For My Product?
When you arrive at the Source For Sports store fulfilling your reservation, you must provide your Order Confirmation, Name, and present a Valid ID to confirm your order on file. Orders cannot be released to customers without these key pieces of information and identification. At this point, a member of the store’s team will retrieve your item and proceed with the transaction. You can pay for your order using debit, credit, or cash.
It’s that easy! Reserve online, receive our Pick Up Confirmation, and visit us in-store to get your product.
What Should I Consider If the Product I Want Needs to Be Fitted?
For products that require a proper fit such as clothing, shoes, hockey skates, goalie equipment and more, we recommend setting aside extra time to try these items on when you visit us in-store. If you find a product is a bit too big or small, you’ll already be in the right place to try on another if the store has more sizes available. Particularly for hockey skates, keep in mind once you find the right fit with help from our hockey specialists, you’ll want up to 30 minutes to bake and sharpen your skates so they’re game-ready. Also note that this time suggestion will vary based on how busy the store is that day.

My Wish List allows you to save search results of products that you are interested in for future reference when returning to SourceForSports.com, or for purchase at your local Source For Sports store. It also allows for easy access to desired items without having to browse the entire website to find them again, and the ability to email, share, or print these items for reference. Products in My Wish List can be added to your Shopping Cart to complete your online purchase, or can be reserved at a local Source For Sports for pick up.
Note: You must create a Personal Account or Profile on SourceForSports.com to save items to My Wish List.
Will all products be available for online purchasing?
No, not all products will be available for purchase online. Currently SourceForSports.com offers hockey and goalie products for online purchase. Other sport categories and products will be added in the future.
Some items will not be eligible for online purchase due to manufacturer restrictions. Other items may be too large or too expensive to ship. Products available for online purchase will feature an “Add to Cart” button. Those products not available for online purchase will show a “Not Available Online” message indicating that this product cannot be purchased online.
All products found on SourceForSports.com will carry one of the following statuses indicating the availability of the product for purchase:
Available Online: This product can be purchased online or reserved online and picked up in-store.
Available In-Store: This product is available in store for purchase.
Not Available Online: This product cannot or is ineligible to be purchased online.
Sold Out: This product is out of stock and cannot be purchased online or in-store.
Do all Source For Sports Stores sell all the same products and sports categories?
No, each Source For Sports store is independently owned and operated and sells products and sports categories that meet the needs of their local communities.

My local store doesn’t carry all the products available on SourceForSports.com. Why not?
Since every Source For Sports store is locally owned, the products they sell are determined by the needs of the local community and our brand proposition: We Know Our Stuff. Our stores strive to be the top destination for the products they carry by knowing their stuff and being able to provide the best advice to their customers.
Why can't I find all the products sold at my local store on the website?
SourceForSports.com features the sports categories and products that are most commonly found in our stores across Canada. Your local Source For Sports store may specialize in sports that are unique to their market, which are not common to most of our stores across the country.
How do I know what size I am?
While we do offer sizing guidance on SourceForSports.com, it is merely a guide and cannot guarantee a proper fit. The only way to ensure that you are getting a proper fit is to visit your local Source For Sports store for the Pro-Formance Advantage Custom Fitting System, which guarantees a proper fit.
Why do you need to know my location?
Providing your location (or geolocation) helps us navigate you to the closest store in your area using the Store Locator and various Find Store buttons throughout our website. Because not all Source For Sports stores offer the same products or services, we want to make it easy for you to find what you’re looking for as quickly (and as close to home) as possible, even if the store in your local community does not sell it.
The My Store feature allows users to easily find the closest Source For Sports location nearest you without the hassle of navigating through our website. This feature showcases the store's address, phone number, store hours, and a link to the local store page for more in depth information about the sports store. This feature works only when your browser location services or geolocation services are enabled. Otherwise, you'll see a Store Locator button along the top right our the Source For Sports website.
With the My Store feature comes some added benefits, which is the ability to save a store as your Favourite Store for easier navigation to a prefered Source For Sports location. To enable this feature, click or tap the Red Store Box dropdown button and click or tap "Make This My Store". This action will now change the button from "Closest Store" to "My Store".
SourceForSports.com is a website that collates data from your local Source For Sports store. As independent businesses with live inventories there may be times when there are inventory discrepancies that cause products to show as available on the site when they have in fact been sold. Our stores will always try to help the customer in a situation like this by suggesting similar products from the same vendor or equivalent products from competing vendors. You will always be offered better or equal equipment at the same advertised price we have on the site. These things can happen and for this we apologize in advance, and will always strive to correct them as soon as we are aware.
When you have completed your selection and you click Checkout, your actions trigger a series of processes behind the scenes where our Order Management Engine matches your purchase with the closest store location with a complete order. This decreases the time it takes for you to get your orders and helps to keep the overall shipping costs for the products in line. We always try to keep orders together but there may be times when we must split them based on the store’s inventory and whether the store can complete your order. When this occurs, you will notice that your order will be split and your credit card will be charged by each store and their portion of the order separately. The shipping charge will be split between the stores fulfilling your orders.
We accept MasterCard and Visa credit cards, as well as Source For Sports Gift Cards as payment for online purchases. You can also pay for products in store with both Credit Cards, Gift Cards, Cash, and Debit. At this time, PayPal is currently not an accepted form of payment for online purchases, but may be available in the future. See store for additional payment options.
Can I purchase gift cards or gift certificates online?
Yes, Source For Sports gift cards are available for purchase online available in 3 denominations:
You can also purchase Gift Cards in-store at your local Source For Sports. Purchasing gift cards in-store allows you to load any amount of money onto the card.
Can I redeem a gift card online?
Yes, Gift Cards can be used as an online payment for online purchases once the Checkout Summary page is reached when purchasing your product. To use your gift card, enter your Gift Card Number and Security Pin found on the card itself. To help prevent online fraud, a maximum of 1 gift card can be applied to your order at one time.
How do I redeem a gift card?
Gift Cards may be redeemed in-store and online.
With over 150 locations across Canada, Gift Cards can be used towards the purchase of merchandise or services at any participating Source For Sports store.
To use your Gift Card, simply present the card when you make a purchase and the amount of the purchase will be deducted from the available credit on the card. Your Gift Card can be used as often as you like until a zero balance is reached on the card. When a zero balance is reached, your Gift Card cannot be reused.
Gift Cards are non-refundable, have no cash value, and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

How can I become Source For Sports store?
All inquiries about becoming a Source For Sports store can be emailed to email@example.com.
Please allow up to 48 hours for tracking information from our carrier to become available. Products are packaged at a Source For Sports fulfillment location and then shipped through Purolator. Your tracking number will be listed on your online shipping history. You can use this tracking number on the Purolator website to see where your order is as well as the estimated shipping time. Shipping times may vary.
What carrier does Source For Sports use for shipping?
At Source For Sports, we partner with Canada Post and Purolator to ship orders to our customers as promptly and carefully as possible.
Where can I have my order delivered?
Your order can be delivered to any valid Canadian mailing address. Source For Sports ships within Canada only and does not ship internationally
How long will my order take to ship?
Orders will typically take 3-8 business days to ship, depending on your location. Please note that we cannot guarantee shipping by a certain date due to potential extenuating circumstances when using an external shipping company. We will do our best to ensure a prompt and safe arrival. We do offer expedited shipping options should you need to get the products faster than our standard deliveries.
What are my shipping costs?
Source For Sports is unable to offer real time shipping therefore all purchases will be shipped at a flat rate of $15.00 per shipment regardless of the items purchased. If you purchase more than one item and they come from different locations, you will only be charged the flat rate of $15.00 total freight for your combined purchases.
All online policies are subject to change without notice. Not all Source For Sports locations are subject to the policies of online purchases. Policies pertaining to online purchases do not apply to in-store purchases.
We try to keep our prices as up to date as possible on our website to ensure that you are paying the correct price for the item you are looking for. However due to sales and other events, the prices on our website are subject to change at any time.
We feature thousands of products, colors and sizes on our website, and from time to time mistakes happen and products can be priced incorrectly. We reserve the right to refuse to fill an order if, as a result of a system or human error, our descriptions, images or prices are wrong. Remember: if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If you see something on the site that doesn't make sense, send us an e-mail or give us a call. We will explain it or, if it is wrong, correct it.
At Source For Sports we’re confident in the prices offered in-store. If you find an item available for sale at a lower advertised price by any of our competitors in our local market (100 km radius), we will gladly match that price. If within 14 days of your purchase, you find your purchased item advertised by us or a local competitor at a lower price we will refund the difference

- Your credit will be in the same form of payment as your original purchase and original receipt and competitor’s ad must be presented in-store for refund.
- Store management has the authority to make a judgment call on any competitive price match in the store.

Any potential warranty claims on price matched products could be deferred directly to the manufacturer. Products will not be replaced from our stock at existing in-store prices.
Why am I seeing a different price online than I saw in-store?
As each Source For Sports location is independently owned and operated, the staff at each location has the final authority on pricing for each product they sell, and may choose to sell their products for a lower price than displayed on our website. Our website reflects the manufacturer's suggested retail price for each item displayed on our website.
The Store Locator allows you to locate the closest Source For Sports nearest you provided that your browser location services or geolocation services are enabled. You can also search for stores using the Search Bar typing in a valid Postal Code or City into the input field.
Once you've submitted your query, press the Find Store button, which will list all the stores within any given search in a 250km radius of the location you have entered.
Another way to search stores is by using the Sort By dropdown feature. To enable this button, you must enter a valid Postal Code or City first, then hit Find Store. You will be presented with the Closest Stores to that search, but you can then filter stores based on which categories they sell or which categories you're interested in knowing about.
