Mark Hart
Mark Hart, owner of Hart Designs, www3.telus.net/hartdesigns, is the artist behind hundreds of professional, semi-pro and amateur goalie masks, including the first NHL mask for Henrik Lundqvist of the New York Rangers. Hart is the exclusive painter of the new, original goalie masks for the 2007 Hockey Hall of Fame Inductees.
“In painting the masks, I’ve tried to bring out the players’ talents that got them into the Hall of Fame,” he says.
Hart, based in Terrace, British Columbia, formally studied art and art design for more than 12 years, in both Canada and London, England. He utilizes this formal training to develop, design and airbrush some of the most creative masks and original masks available. |

The 25-year career of Mark ‘the moose’ Messier shows him to be one of the most complete players of his generation. He captained both the Edmonton Oilers and New York Rangers to Stanley Cups and twice won the Hart Trophy as the league’s most valuable player. After his retirement, both teams retired his No. 11.
Hart, the artist, celebrates Messier’s achievements and his personality with this mask. A moose head adorns the top, the mask includes two Cs and recognition of his six Stanley Cups. The 50 on the mask represents his milestone of 50 goals in his second season.
